By now, everyone’s aware of the Great Resignation. From April through June of 2021, over 4.5 million Americans left jobs to take new jobs. What that means for clients is there are thousands of companies with those 4.5 million jobs to fill. So there are many openings, candidates have a plethora of positions to choose from, and the client needs to move quicker than they normally would have in the past.
The two things I would recommend are to be competitive and be urgent. Of course, you want to do your due diligence to make sure it’s a right fit for both the client and the candidate. But in this market, you have to move very quickly.
Employers need to realize that they are no longer competing for talent just in our local market. Candidates have opportunities to support companies across the country. Now we are up against companies that may be on the West Coast offering that remote flexibility for somebody to stay 100% remote and not require that relocation. So it definitely makes it a little more challenging. Again, I would suggest offering that remote flexibility, being as competitive as possible, and also moving quickly
